New release of GI John: 1.3! based on the new JtR

It was the time where I had the improve some codes, and change the base version of john the ripper.
Now its based on the newest (experimental) john the ripper 1.7.6 with the newest jumbo patch.
New improvements, bugfixes etc. Probably it will work better then the previous ones.
Oh, yes and a new thing, use git if you like. git://github.com/earthquake/GI-John

  • New release: GI John 1.1!

The next build of GI John is here, you can download from the Downloads. This release has a few bugfix for the gijohn and for the original (john-1.7.3.1-all-5) jumbo patch.

  • Its works on Mac OS X (x64) with markov utilities (jumbo fix)
  • Probably works on SunOS (jumbo fix)
  • New options to make forks: --gijsmp=PROCNUM
  • More verbose hash downloads (--verbose)
  • Dont have to fix your password into the gijohn.conf. If you leave it blank, on every start you have to type it. (more secure, no passwords on the disk)
  • And some more bugfixes

    The other side:

New rightful (i hope so :) ) point system. Every hash format has a price, if you crack one of them, you will get that value. If you upload one of them, you will lose that value from your points. Otherwise you can calculate your own costs, if you want to upload some hashes, in the Upload menu.

  • Buy priority!

Now you can buy priority for your hash group. After upload, in the Uploaded menu, you can buy priority for 1000points.
And... New Windows Build, GIJohn v1.1 is on the site.
